Associate Consultant
Regenerative Africa is building a team of consultants who work on client projects across African markets, on a contract basis, project by project.
The role
Associates do the research and analysis behind our client work, under the direction of a Senior Associate or Engagement Manager.
What you will do
- Research markets, sectors, regulation and policy using public sources, data and interviews.
- Run stakeholder interviews and write up what you learn.
- Build analysis and simple financial models.
- Draft sections of client reports, briefs and slides.
- Write short intelligence briefs for our website.
- Support proposals and tender responses.
What we look for
- 2 to 4 years of experience in consulting, research, policy, finance or a related field.
- Clear, concise writing in English. Working proficiency in another African Union language, such as Arabic, French, Kiswahili or Portuguese, is a plus.
- Knowledge of African markets. Deep knowledge of specific regions is welcome.
- Ability to work independently on open-ended briefs, with sound judgement on when to escalate.
How the role works
Your choice of projects
Before each project we share the scope, timeline and expected time commitment. You confirm whether it fits your schedule before you start.
Paid per project
Each project starts with a short paid phase, billed hourly up to an agreed cap, while the scope is confirmed. The rest of the project is paid per deliverable at a fixed fee agreed in writing. Rates are set by level and location and shared at the offer stage.
Right to work
You must be able to work as an independent contractor where you are based. If you hold a visa, please tell us about any limits on hours or self-employment.
